A drug suspect was arrested by Sipalay City police after creating a commotion and drawing attention at Purok 6, Barangay 5, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, late Tuesday evening.
Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Guilermo Singson, a resident of Sitio Bado, Barangay Gil Montilla in the said city.
Sipalay City police commander, Police Chief Inspector Romeo Vargas, said Singson is in the top ten of the station’s drugs watchlist.
After receiving a complaint from a local resident claiming Singson was creating alarm in the area, Vargas sent a police patrol to the barangay, which ultimately resulted in the arrest.
A search of the suspect yielded four small sachets of suspected shabu.
Aside from alarm and scandal charges, Singson could also face the criminal charge of possession of illegal drugs.
He is currently detained at the Sipalay City Police Station./WDJ
