Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa is scheduled to arrive in Negros Occidental today for a two-day visit, where he is expected to visit Bacolod City and Bago City.
Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said Dela Rosa will arrive this afternoon at the Bacolod-Silay Airport and is scheduled to meet with regional police officers and will spend the night in Bacolod City.
On Friday, Dela Rosa will serve as guest of honor and speaker during recognition rites at the PNP Regional Training Center in Bago City.
Vargas said the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) will deploy the maximum number of personnel, while the Philippine Army stationed in the province will also deploy their own personnel as part of the augmenting force.
Dela Rosa’s last visit to the province was in August 2016, where he attended the turnover ceremony of now-retired Police Chief Superintendent Renato Gumban./WDJ
