Four Negrense footballers were called up to join the ladies national football team and compete in the upcoming 2017 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, set to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August.
Added to the roster are Alesa Nazareno Dolino from San Carlos City, Regine Metillo of Bago City, Irish Oliveros Navaja of Bacolod City, and Kayla Jan Aragones Inquig of Negros Oriental.
The last SEA Games medals the team earned were a bronze in 1985.
Meanwhile, Thailand has earned the most achievements in the event, with five gold, two silver, and two bronze medals./WDJ
