The Kalayaan 2017 Job Fair, which was held earlier this week at 888 Chinatown Square Premiere, saw 130 individuals hired on the spot.
The event featured 46 employers, 31 based locally, alongside 15 overseas employment agencies, offering around 7,200 job openings.
“Job fair venues save them money because instead of going from one employer to another, you bring all of the employers in one venue,” said Department of Labor and Employment-Negros Island Region (DOLE-NIR) assistant director, Atty. Jason Balais.
A similar event was also held in Pamplona, Negros Oriental, where 30 individuals were hired on the spot./WDJ
