Leo Galvez of the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO), who had earlier accused Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa of acquiring ill-gotten wealth, is under investigation for alleged anomalies, according to Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr.

The governor said the inquiry stems from a complaint lodged by a supplier, claiming Galvez kept some of their supplies.

Galvez, meanwhile, said he will consult his lawyer and issue a statement once he receives a copy of the complaint.

The PEO employee previously claimed Mapa owned three homes, a lot in a “high-end subdivision,” and eight personal vehicles. The provincial engineer denied the claims, pointing out he has two homes and three personal vehicles, one of which is owned by his wife’s employer./WDJ
