A drunk man allegedly stabbed and injured a carpenter during a scuffle at Purok Malinong, Barangay Sagasa, Bago City, Negros Occidental, late Wednesday evening.
Police identified the victim as 51-year-old Bonifacio Tor, Jr., a resident of the said village.
Bago City police said the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Ricardo Cordova, created alarm in the area, which prompted Tor to approach the suspect in order to pacify him.
A scuffle ensued between the two, wherein Cordova allegedly pulled out a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim on the right portion of his body.
Tor was immediately rushed to the city’s district hospital for treatment, while Cordova immediately fled the area following the incident.
Bago City police care currently conducting a manhunt operation against Cordova./WDJ
