Newly-appointed Regional Development Council-VI (RDC-6) chair, Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao, named three specific areas to be given priority status.
“Guimaras, Northern Iloilo, and Antique,” she stated. “RDC must give much weight to their needs.”
“Malnutrition and poverty is very prevalent in the three areas,” the governor explained. “We need to push up programs on health, nutrition and education.”
“Human development is very important,” she added.
Cadiao noted, the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte has poured in more funding in the region towards the Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and Department of Health (DOH)./WDJ
