Jap tourist hit by ‘salisi’ gang member

A Japanese tourist was allegedly robbed by a member of the infamous “salisi” gang inside a mall located in Barangay 12, Bacolod City, Thursday afternoon.
Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Takahito Hiei, a resident of Okita, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Investigators from Police Station 1 (PS1) said Hiei and several of his friends were eating lunch when the unidentified suspect came to their table and started talking to them.
Unbeknownst to Hiei, the suspect was already trying to steal the black bag under their table.
Police said the thief carted away the victim’s passport, a mobile phone, a hotel room key, and around P15,000 in cash.
PS1 is now investigating the incident in the hopes of identifying the suspect./WDJ
