Two houses were confirmed destroyed following a blaze in Barangay 12, Bacolod City, yesterday morning.
An initial report released by the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod (BFP-Bacolod) shows the agency received a fire call around 10:30 a.m., prompting them to respond to the area.
The blaze started inside a house owned by Roger Gomez.
When arson investigators interviewed Gomez, he said the fire spread to the second house through the ceiling.
Gomez said they tried to fight the blaze, but were forced back as it grew too big.
They did not manage to save any of their belongings, he added.
Investigators have yet to determine the estimated amount of damage caused by the fire./WDJ
