As of 5:30 p.m., yesterday, the Negros Island Region (NIR) fell from third place to fourth place in the medal count, swapping spots with Southern Tagalog.
NIR has garnered a total of 10 gold, 12 silver, and 11 bronze medals; while Southern Tagalog is up to 10 gold, 22 silver, and 23 bronze medals.
Meanwhile, the National Capital Region (NCR) is securing their place atop the standings, with a current haul of 50 gold, 27 silver, and 20 bronze medals.
Western Visayas sits at a distant second place with 14 gold, eight silver, and 14 bronze medals./WDJ
