The Negros Island Region (NIR), represented by the University of St. La Salle (USLS), meets Dipolog today in the semifinals of the men’s football competition of the ongoing 2017 National PRISAA Championships in Zambales.
If successful, the defending champions will meet the winner between the Western Visayas and Cebu in the finals.
According to USLS head coach Norman Fegidero, they have been preparing over the past few months, but added he could have strengthened the team if they were participating in local and national competitions./WDJ
