A fire reportedly razed a structure belonging to the 2nd Maneuver Platoon of the Regional Public Safety Company-18 (RPSB-18) in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, yesterday morning.
Based on an official report released by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18), a fire call was received around 9:40 a.m.
Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the area. The fire was put out within minutes of arrival.
According to a preliminary report by arson investigators, the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring and quickly spread inside the outpost, damaging parts of the structure constructed with light materials.
An inventory also revealed several firearms and two motorcycles were either damaged or destroyed./WDJ
