The Bacolod City SangguniangPanlungsod (SP) recently approved P3.548 million in financial assistance for athletes representing Bacolod City in the upcoming 2017 PalarongPambansa, set to begin this coming weekend in Antique, from April 23 to 29.
According to City Councilor Caesar Distrito, “This will be used for the food, transportation, billeting and other essential needs of our athletes.”
Back in February of this year, the SP approved P8.689 million for similar purposes during the 2017 Palarong Negros Island Region (NIR), which took place in Dumaguete City.
NIR came in 6th place overall at last year’s PalarongPambansa./WDJ
