The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will be hosting a three-day film education symposium from May 4 to 6 at the Negros Museum.
The event is geared towards educators and teachers in the arts and the special K-to-12 arts program.
While there is no registration fee, slots are limited and admission will be first come, first serve.
Expected at the symposium include De La Salle College of St. Benilde Professor and Vice Head for the Committee on Cinema of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Jose Antonio Garcia to discuss “Understanding Film through Education;” Victoria Belarmino of Cinemalaya-Cultural Center of the Philippines will focus on “Creating Film Synergy in the Student Body;” while Negrense filmmaker Richard Somes will talk about “Basic Tools: A Crash Course on Filmmaking for Educators.”
