The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) recently approved a resolution requesting Bacolod Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to concrete and rehabilitate Hernaez Street, from the corner of Corazon Aquino Avenue until the Bacolod-Murcia-Alijis Road.
According to the resolution, penned by City Councilor Caesar Distrito, “It is the duty of the state to promote the welfare of its constituents.” It went on to describe the road as “worn out, dilapidated, and inaccessible,” and said “several accidents” have occurred along the roadway.
Additionally, the resolution is requesting the DPWH to include the street in its infrastructure project./WDJ
