Two inmates of the Negros Occidental District Jail broke out of jail yesterday morning.
The escaped inmates were identified as Vercilito Capulong and Ramon Ventura, Jr.
Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) District Warden, Jail Chief Inspector Ruth Garcia-Estales, said Capulong was detained on violations of Article 179 of the Revised Penal Code, while Ventura was in for carnapping charges.
Ventura previously managed to escape while under the custody of the Murcia Municipal Police Station, but was quickly captured by police following the incident, Estales explained.
A lookout bulletin has been issued to police in the region, while BJMP officials are conducting an investigation as to how the two were able to escape the facility./WDJ
