3rd Infantry Division (3ID) commander, Major General Jon Aying, believes the New People’s Army (NPA) attempt to recruit more members with propaganda is futile.
Aying, who was present at the Negros Press Club induction and oath-taking ceremony over the weekend, said the NPA is in serious trouble trying to make up losses suffered over the past two years.
He explained the people in Negros Occidental already know there is no future awaiting them if they join the NPA and are looking forward to the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Duterte is pro-poor and pro-people, the reason why people are turning their attention to his administration for development,” Aying added.
Previously, other officials of the Philippine Army in Panay also dismissed the NPA’s propaganda, saying the group’s power is now in decline./WDJ
