Four people were arrested by members of Police Station 9 (PS9), Police Station 10 (PS10), and Police Station 7 (PS7) after their respective Drug Enforcement Units (SDEU) conducted coordinated buy-bust operations in Barangay Cabug and Barangay Alijis, yesterday.
Police identified the suspects in the Barangay Cabug bust as 31-year-old Bienvinido Purillo of Barangay Handumanan; and live-in partners Junel Arsenal, 26, and Janette Saul, 30, both residents of Bagong Katilingban, Barangay 40.
PS10 commander, Police Senior Inspector Ramel Bustamante, said Purillo is currently number two on their drugs watchlist, while Arsenal is number eight.
Police recovered five elongated sachets of suspected shabu, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Following the arrest of the three, PS7 also conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Alijis, which resulted in the arrest of Purillo’s 29-year-old brother, Carlo, also a resident of Barangay Handumanan.
Cops recovered one elongated and one big sachet of suspected shabu, the buy-bust money, and the suspect’s motorcycle.
All four suspects are facing criminal charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
