A seaman was arrested by members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region (PDEA-NIR) following a buy-bust operation at Capitol Road, Barangay 9, Bacolod City, Thursday evening.
Police identified the suspect as 30-year-old Ralph Daniel Monte, a resident of La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
PDEA-NIR operatives said they arrested Monte after he handed one elongated sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500.
A search of the suspect yielded three more elongated sachets of suspected shabu, the P500 buy-bust money, and drug paraphernalia.
Monte is now facing illegal drugs charges, and is currently detained at Police Station 2 (PS2)./WDJ
