A man with alleged links to illegal drugs was gunned down by unidentified suspects in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, late Thursday evening.
Police identified the victim as June Guellergan, a resident of the said city, and formerly a subject of “Oplan: Tokhang.”
Silay City police lead investigator, Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Milo Aliposa, said Guellergan came out of his house to buy ice water, candles, and cigarettes when he was shot several times by unidentified gunmen.
The victim was killed on the spot after sustaining gunshot wounds on his chest, side, arm, and leg.
Silay police have yet to determine the motive of the incident and are still conducting an investigation.
A follow-up operation against the gunmen is also underway./WDJ
