
A total of 29 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) scholars recently completed technical skills training at the Visayas Maritime Academy (VMA) Global College and Training Center, culminating in closing rites held at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC), yesterday.
The scholars were enrolled through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). Twenty-four took up Cookery NC II, while the remaining five studied Shielded Metal and Welding (SMAW) NC I.
The graduates also passed the national assessment conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
DSWD SLP provincial coordinator Fernando Alabado congratulated the graduates and said they will assist them in finding employers./WDJ
