Local labor leader Wennie Sancho declared his intentions to sue the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) after being disqualified a second time in their board of directors elections, the most recent taking place this past weekend.
He called the latest disqualification “highly questionable,” noting he filed an appeal before the National Electrification Administration (NEA).
Sancho slammed the Ceneco screening and election committee on their lack of transparency, saying he has yet to be informed if they are in receipt of the appeal from the NEA.
“I have no option but to file the appropriate charges against them for non-disclosure of information and lack of transparency,” he added.
Last Sunday, Ceneco declared Roy Cordova the District 4 director for Bacolod City-East, which includes Barangays Villamonte, Montevista, Alangilan, Granada, Estefania, Vista Alegre, Mansilingan, and Abkasa.
Cordova ran unopposed after Sancho was disqualified by the screening committee, due to his affiliation as a member of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) for the Western Visayas./WDJ
