Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar recently offered his appreciation to the sugar industry for their continued support for the administration of Rodrigo Duterte.
“I give it to the sugar industry for the unwavering support to this administration,” he said. “It looks like the industry leaders understand what the president is doing.”
“We in government as part of Duterte’s administration will keep on working,” Andanar added. “We will strive to implement the goals of the president to include peace and order, law and order, anti-corruption, and poverty alleviation.”
Recently, the sugar industry lashed out against Department of Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol after he requested the president to put a hold on Sugar Order No. 3, which regulates the importation of high fructose corn syrup.
