According to National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Director Ro-Ann Bacal, a team from China has started conducting a feasibility study on proposed bridges connecting Panay and Negros islands, via Guimaras.
Bacal said the current study is the first phase of the project.
She added, last Monday, the team conducting the study met with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Department of Transportation (DOTr), and NEDA to discuss updates.
Meanwhile, another group from China will be conducting a feasibility study on the long-proposed revival of a Panay Island railway system./WDJ
