The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) did not record any substantial crime incidents in Bacolod City on the first day of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meetings.
BCPO spokesperson, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said the low number of incidents means their current deployment plans are very effective.
He said most of the minor crime incidents recorded come mostly from barangays away from the event site at the SMX Convention Center or the downtown area.
“It is a big development because of the full force deployment for ASEAN, it also reduced the number of criminal incidents in Bacolod City,” Polines said.
He hopes the low number of incidents will continue throughout the ASEAN event, citing the deployed cops will be active 24 hours a day./WDJ
