In preparation for his April 8 fight against International Boxing Federation (IBF) junior bantamweight champion Zolani Tete of South Africa, Bago City-native ‘King’ Arthur Villanueva said he has been observing some of this opponent’s past bouts.
“He’s good, strong, and a tough opponent,” he said. “I only saw few highlights of his fights, but his style might change during actual fight.”
Villanueva also said he is feeling anxious about the fight taking place outside the country. The event is set to take place at the Manchester Arena in England.
“The world championship is my motivation against Tete,” he added.
Villanueva’s team is scheduled to leave a week before the fight./WDJ
