The truck driver responsible for the hit and run incident in Barangay Bata, last week, surrendered to Police Station 3(PS3) last Saturday.
PS3 commander, Police Senior Inspector Larry Teovisio, said the driver, identified as 50-year-old Rubin Cardoza, visited the police station around 3:15 p.m. to surrender.
Teovisio said the suspect turned himself in after seeing the close-circuit television (CCTV) footage on TV, which showed his truck running over the 31-year-old woman.
He said the woman was lying down under the truck and Cardoza was unaware he had run someone over.
Teovisio added both he and the victim’s family are scheduled to meet this week to discuss a possible settlement./WDJ
