A teacher was stabbed to death during a fiesta celebration in Barangay Camandag, La Castellana, Saturday.
Police identified the fatality as 30-year-old Hernani Octavio, a resident of the said town.
La Castellana municipal police commander, Police Chief Inspector Alan Gary Resuma, said Octavio was attending a town dance event when a scuffle broke out between two rival groups.
During the fight, the victim was allegedly stabbed by 24-year-old Pedro Pacia and was killed on the spot. Pacia reportedly fled the crime scene.
Post-mortem examination of Octavio’s remains revealed he was stabbed in the back, which also penetrated his stomach.
