Silay City boxer looking to dethrone IBF titleholder

Silay City-born Sonny Boy Jaro will be looking to dethrone Jonas ‘Zorro’ Sultan of Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte from the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Inter-Continental super flyweight, this weekend at the Makati Cinema Square Boxing Arena.

Silay City-born Sonny Boy Jaro will be looking to dethrone Jonas ‘Zorro’ Sultan of Tampilisan, Zamboanga del Norte from the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Inter-Continental super flyweight, this weekend at the Makati Cinema Square Boxing Arena.
The 34-year-old World Boxing Council (WBC) International super flyweight champion is also seeking his tenth straight victory and back-to-back international titles, following his knockout victory over Makazole Tete of South Africa last year.
Jaro earned his WBC title last year by defeating Marjun Pantilgan via unanimous decision.
Meanwhile, Edward Heno faces Cris Ganoza in the main undercard fight for the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) light flyweight title, while Roli Gasca meets Richard Pinicpic./WDJ
