Negros Occidental records third dengue-related death of 2017

Last month, according to data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), there were reports of two deaths to dengue fever in Negros Occidental, one in San Carlos City and one in Escalante City. Recent reports show a second death has been recorded in San Carlos City.
San Carlos City has also recorded the most number of cases in the province with 125, followed by Silay City with 38 and Bago City with 33.
The most recently reported death related to dengue in Bacolod City was of a four-year-old from Barangay 21, who died last December 15.
The child marked the 19th dengue-related death in the city in 2016./WDJ
