Dolphy kin speaks at drug symposium at the BAYS Center

Rodolfo ‘Dolphy, Jr’ Quizon, Jr., son of ‘King of Comedy’ Dolphy, spoke at a symposium at the BAYS Center, Wednesday, focused on the City-Wide Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
Quizon, a former drug dependent, discussed his road to recovery and encouraged those gathered, mostly drug personalities who previously surrendered to law enforcement, to change themselves for the good.
“I prefer to call you guys reformists, instead of surrenderers,” he said.
The symposium is part of the eight-week community-based rehabilitation program that was designed by Bacolod City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) Committee on Rehabilitation.
Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who chairs CADAC, said the program is helping those who surrendered change their lives.
Others present at the event included Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Director, Police Senior Superintendent Jack Wanky; Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Island Region (PDEA-NIR) Director Roselyn Borja; Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) head, Police Chief Inspector Ray Guanico; and City Health Officer Carmela Gensoli./WDJ
