A drunk construction worker allegedly killed his live-in partner at Purok Totong 4, Barangay Felisa, Bacolod City, late Sunday evening.
Police identified the fatality as 24-year-old Charlene Mae Ado, a native of Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Police Station 10 (PS10) commander, Police Chief Inspector Ramil Bustamante, said Ado’s partner, 27-year-old Jobert Turno, arrived home late. He allegedly kicked down the door of their house and destroyed their stove with a chair.
A heated argument ensued between the couple, where the suspect reportedly punched the victim.
A neighbor tried to intervene, but Turno responded by picking up a knife.
Ado tried to stop her partner, but was stabbed in the neck.
The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) but was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
Turno, meanwhile, was arrested by members of PS10 and is facing the criminal charge of parricide./WDJ
