The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) Religious Education Department will hold its 18th Solidarity Day today, beginning with a walk for life, where participants will express their opposition to the death penalty, abortion, suicide, drug abuse, premarital sex, and extrajudicial killings.
Opening ceremonies will take place at the UNO-R gymnasium, with an exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 9:15 a.m. and a “Live Pure” talk and forum at 9:45 a.m. The forum is scheduled to end at 10:45 a.m., with the praying of the Angelus, and will resume after lunch and run until 3:45 p.m.
Rev. Fr. Rocelo Villarosa will preside over a eucharistic celebration at 4:00 p.m.
The event will close with a candle-lighting ceremony, which is a symbol for spreading good news and sharing the light./WDJ
