One dead, two injured after motorcycle slams into tree in Bago City

A motorcycle driver was killed, while his two passengers were injured, after they slammed into a tree at Purok Balunggay, Barangay Pacol, Bago City, Tuesday evening.
Police identified the fatality as 59-year-old Pacifico Libe, Jr., while the injured were identified as his sons, Mark and Charles Libe, both of whom are minors.
According to traffic investigators from the Bago City police, the father and sons were heading home after celebrating the town fiesta in neighboring Valladolid town, when the elder Libe lost control while turning and smashed into a Madre Cacao tree.
Local residents contacted the Bago City rescue team and the victims were rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH).
The elder Libe later died of his injuries, while his sons incurred various cuts and bruises from the incident.
Bago police added the elder Libe was under the influence of alcohol and was driving his motorcycle too fast, which led to the accident.
Libe’s sons are now recovering at the hospital./WDJ
