The Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) passed a resolution granting financial rewards to all Bacolod City athletes who won medals at the recent 2017 Palarong NIR.
The City of Smiles captured a total of 327 medals.
“It is appropriate for us to reward them,” said City Councilor Caesar Distrito, who authored the resolution.
There was no indication of how much would be provided for each athlete, nor where the funding for the reward would be sourced from./WDJ
