A huge part of the country, especially in Northern Luzon, will experience rains caused by the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” the weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will experience light rains.
The rest of Luzon, the Visayas, Caraga, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Northern Mindanao will experience isolated light rains.
Isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Mindanao.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are forecast across the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon, and the eastern section of the country.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
Meanwhile, Tropical Depression “Nuri” was last tracked 1,580 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao, outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).
Pagasa weather specialist Leanne Loreto said the cyclone is unlikely to enter PAR, and is no longer affecting the country. (PNA)
