Rizal FC, NOHS rule respective age groups at football fest

Rizal FC and Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) football team ruled their respective age-group divisions in the 1st Mayora Mayette Javellana Football Festival, held recently in Negros Occidental’s Bago City.

Rizal FC clinched the championship in the Born 2015 division, highlighted by strong team play and individual awards.

Nathaniel Divinagracia was named Best Goalkeeper, while Prince Jomar de La Cruz earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor.

Completing the title-winning lineup were Dane Mark Piansay, J-ian Divinagracia, Allan Abonador, Al Eman Faizal, Rhince Navarra, Jonvier Nemenio, Rohan Sky Mahilum, Briana Marcellana, Zion Baliao, Wilzon Sun, and Winzon Sun.

Rizal FC is coached by head trainer Struggle Trip “Nonoy,” with Soon Rai Ser “Winston” serving as goalkeeper coach.

The team is supported by teacher-coaches Annie Jane Gepanago and Aliza Sun, under the leadership of principal Pedro Crispe, Jr.

In the Born 2008 division, the NOHS football team emerged as champions after a dominant tournament run. Kiel Lorenz Lacson was recognized as Best Goalkeeper, while Edzel Jay Salon was named MVP.

The championship roster also included Cris Piansay, Enzo Donasco, Kyzer Arcilla, Kris Peronilla, Howie Llames, Franz Alic de Luna, Alwayne Sun, and Kadmiel Dimson.

NOHS is led by head trainer Struggle Trip “Nonoy,” with Soon Rai Ser “Winston” as goalkeeper coach.

The team is backed by teacher-coaches Sison and Delubio, with Romar Sarabia as MAPEH head, and operates under the leadership of principal Maam Cheryl Tondo.

The inaugural Mayora Mayette Javellana Football Festival brought together youth teams across age groups, serving as a platform to showcase grassroots football talent and promote sports development in Bago City./ASC, WDJ
