The Victorias City government congratulated Kent Jane Pastrana following her standout performance, leading the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigresses to the UAAP Season 88 women’s basketball championship.

Pastrana, a native of Victorias City, where she capped her collegiate career with a championship title and was named finals Most Valuable Player for leading UST past National University Lady Bulldogs.

City officials noted that Pastrana’s rise to the national spotlight was built on years of dedication that began during her early basketball career with the Victorias National High School girls basketball team, where her talent and work ethic were first evident.

Her achievement was hailed as a testament to perseverance and discipline, with the local government describing her success as a shared victory for Victoriasanons and a source of inspiration for aspiring athletes in the city.
