Negrenses Alexandra Ysabel Lopez and Franciz Gregory Nifras emerged as gold medal winners in the poomsae category of the National New Face Taekwondo Championship held recently at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Lopez and Nifras delivered standout performances that earned them the top podium finish in their respective events.

Their victories have been hailed as a source of inspiration for the St. John’s Institute-Bacolod community and fellow athletes.

“We are deeply proud of you. Your victory serves as a beacon of inspiration to our Falcons and the entire community,” their school said in a congratulatory statement.
