The Cignal HD Spikers continued their offseason build-up by signing up three rookies and extending one of their standout players from the previous Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Season.
Negrense hitter Jessa Ordiales, who was selected 18th overall during the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft, has come to terms with the HD Spikers on an undisclosed rookie contract.
Ilongga Pearl Ann Denura and Erin Pangilinan, likewise, inked their contracts with the HD Spikers to start their pro careers.
Recently-crowned PVL Rookie of the Conference Ishie Lalongisip also secured a contract extension from the HD Spikers.
Selected seventh overall in the 2024 PVL Draft, Lalongisip proved her worth in the last All-Filipino Conference, stepping up as a starter during Cignal’s rise to the third seed in the preliminaries.
The HD Spikers are set to compete in the upcoming PVL On Tour, where they are slotted in Group B with Creamline Cool Smashers, Akari Power Chargers, Chery Tiggo Crossovers, Capital1 Solar Spikers, and Galeries Tower Highrisers.
“Masaya and excited ako sa team namin ngayon kahit may Alas Pilipinas duties sina Vanie [Gandler] and Dawn [Catindig],” HD Spikers head coach Shaq delos Santos said.
“Good time to try out itong mga bata and new draftees namin sa PVL On Tour. We’re confident to say na we want them to be here long-term and, hopefully, maging part ng aming long-coveted championship. Sana makuha namin eventually,” he added./ASC, WDJ
