Five individuals were apprehended following the confiscation of P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu in a series of coordinated drug buy-bust operations in Bacolod City on Friday, March 14.
The operations were spearheaded by the Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Bacolod City Police Station 6.
Two suspects — a 54-year-old and a 32-year-old resident of Barangay Singcang-Airport’s Purok Sisi 1 — were the targets of a buy-bust operation where 82 grams of suspected shabu valued at P557,600 were seized.
Another operation was conducted at Purok Crossing 8 in Barangay Tangub, where a 30-year-old woman, a resident of Barangay 33, was arrested.
She was found with five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000.
The CDEU apprehended two more suspects, a 41-year-old and a 28-year-old, both from Barangay Tangub.
From them, 100 grams of suspected illegal substance valued at P680,000 were confiscated.
The suspects are currently in police custody and will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./JB, WDJ
