BingoPlus, the leading leisure provider in the country, was among the institutions awarded at the 2nd Manila Bulletin Newsmaker of the Year event, which happened on February 10 in Manila City.

As Manila Bulletin celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, the leading broadsheet has once again recognized individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to their respective fields and communities.

This year, BingoPlus was recognized as the MB Newsmaker of the Year for its continuous delivery of quality and reliable leisure offerings in the country, tailored to players’ evolving needs. In 2024, the brand surpassed 28 million registered users, paid out P1.8 trillion, and expanded to 134 branches nationwide.

AB Leisure Exponent Inc. President Rafael Jasper Vicencio received the award on behalf of the brand. In his acceptance speech, Vicencio expressed his gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the brand’s commitment to delivering a responsible and reliable gaming experience for its beloved players.

Meanwhile, BingoPlus’ parent company, DigiPlus Interactive Corp., presented the most awaited recognition of the night to double gold Olympic medalist and ArenaPlus ambassador Carlos Yulo. DigiPlus Vice President for Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Sustainability Celeste Jovenir handed the award to Yulo, extending the company’s deepest congratulations on Yulo’s achievements.

Last year, Yulo received a cash gift of ₱5 million from DigiPlus and its sports betting app ArenaPlus to celebrate his two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
