The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses continue to enhance their lineup with the addition of high school star Jothea Mae Ramos.

Initially committed to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons, the Bacolod City native has made an unexpected transition to the Golden Tigresses as the new year begins.

“We are pleased to welcome to the España side, 2023 Palarong Pambansa MVP, a proud alumna of Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Jothea Ramos!” stated on the team’s social media page.

The 5-foot-8 opposite hitter was instrumental in leading the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts to consecutive championships at the Palarong Pambansa.

Ramos will be eligible to compete for three seasons with the Golden Tigresses, starting in UAAP Season 88 next year./ASC, WDJ
