The Terrafirma Dyip ended their PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign with a resounding 117-108 stunner against the TNT Tropang Giga at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City on Wednesday night, January 22.

Negrense Mark Nonoy finished with a career-high of 33 points, including five three-point conversions and two four-point shots, to go with four rebounds and four assists, as the Dyip ended the conference with a 1-11 win-loss slate.

“Sobrang thankful ‘ko sa coaches and teammates ko. Ups and down ‘yung team namin, but we stick together. ‘Yung iba nawawalan na ng gana pero, kumbaga, last push na kasi last game na namin,” Nonoy said in a post-game interview.

Brandone Edwards tallied 19 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

Mark Sangalang contributed 16 markers, while Aljun Melecio and Kemark Carino ended with 10 points apiece for the Dyip.

“Pinagkatiwalaan ko lang sila. ‘Yung strength naman nila alam namin eh,” Dyip head coach Raymund Tiongco said after the game.

“We are making our shots. Maganda rin ‘yung nilaro namin. From the outside, we are good, and pati ‘yung inside plays namin,” he added.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson recorded 41 points and 10 rebounds.
