
Anti-drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) over three weeks netted around P25.6 million worth of illegal drugs.
The operations, which ran from December 15, 2024 to January 5, 2025, also resulted in the arrest of 140 suspects, the regional police reported.
The series of 95 operations led to the seizure of around 3,768 grams of shabu and marijuana.
The Bacolod City Police Office recorded the largest haul, with shabu worth P16.5 million, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office with P6.5 million and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office with P1.08 million.
PRO-6 Regional Director Brigadier General Jack Wanky, in a press release, ordered police units to maintain the intensity of the campaign in close coordination and collaboration with the different law enforcement agencies, local government units, and the community. (PNA)
