USLS booters rule Bacolod City Division Meet

University of St. La Salle (USLS) Bacolod, representing District 8, claimed the crown in the elementary boys football event of the Bacolod City Division Meet held at the Bacolod City National High School.

The John Moreno-mentored USLS squad displayed their dominance to defeat Sum-ag Elementary School, representing District 7, with a scoreline of 8-0 in the championship match.

“Our training program for the players has manifested excellent result towards higher meets,” Moreno, AFC B License & AFC Level 1 goalkeeper licensee, said.

The opening goal was created from the right flank finish by Xavi Alfonso Aguilar, followed by Karl Nickolai Lopez and Chlyde Miraflores right from the middle of the park.

In the second half, Miraflores finished off a free kick, then Mikyle Francis Cole Lo secured a penalty shootout at the far post.

John Patrick Arillo and Toby Alingasa concluded the goal spree.

Other members of the USLS team are Mel Ythan Sun, Zildjian Ledesma, Miguel Cañete, Daniel Francis Sentinar, Ryuichi Khalil Fuentes, Keane Anthony Agoncillo, Ethan Avenger Azucena, Yuan Marcellana, Bobby Mallari Jr., Alexander Benjamin, Jaime Miguel Diopol, and Patrick Joel Alvarez.

Serving as Moreno’s assistant coaches are Emmanuel Elloso and Romulo Cabahug, while Avenger Azucena, Jr. served as goalkeeper coach./ASC, WDJ
