Three persons were arrested in a buy-bust that yielded P1.02 million in shabu at Barangay 3 in Bacolod City yesterday, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) said in a report.
They were identified with their aliases as Moeses, 22 years old; Erica, 24 years old, both of Purok Lubi, and alias Edron, 18 years old, of Purok Tilapia, all in the said village.
At past 4:00 a.m., one of the suspects sold a sachet of shabu worth P1,000 to a poseur-buyer of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU).
Operatives also seized four sachets and two knot-tied plastic pouches containing 150 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P6,800 per gram.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs), Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs), and Section 26 (conspiracy to commit illegal drug trade) of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Friday morning operation was the BCPO’s first major drug haul this year, following the 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million seized from two suspects in Barangay 17 on December 30.
In Barangay Taculing, the CDEU also arrested two suspects, who yielded 250 grams of shabu worth P1.7 million on December 29.
On the same day, BCPO’s Police Station 8 personnel apprehended a lone suspect, a resident of Silay City who was found possessing one kilogram of shabu amounting to P6.8 million during a raid in Barangay Tangub. (PNA)
