Negrense Samjosef Belangel and the Daegu Korea Gas Corporation Pegasus faltered to the Changwon LG Sakers, 85-54, in the Korean Basketball League at the Daegu Gymnasium on Thursday, December 26.

The former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles guard finished with seven points, six assists and three steals as the Pegasus dropped to a 12-9 win-loss slate.

Andrew Nicholson was the lone double-digit scorer for the Pegasus, with 17 points to go with 10 rebounds for the Pegasus.

“We lost with a very poor performance in the second half, but I should have prepared better and was immature,” Pegasus head coach Kang Hyuk said after the game.

“The players did their best even though their shots didn’t go in. I apologize to Daegu fans for the part where I didn’t prepare in detail, and we won’t play like this again,” he added.

Assem Marei finished with a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Carl Tamayo also ended with 17 markers as the LG Sakers improved to an 11-10 record./ASC, WDJ
