The University of St. La Salle Stingers (USLS) retained their championship in the NOPSSCEA Season 44 women’s volleyball tournament held recently at the USLS Covered Court in Bacolod City.

Behind the exploits of Ashley Diandra Rapiz, Luria Yap and Nicolei Galvan, the Stingers repeated as champions in the women’s division after defeating University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in the finals.

Also part of the team are Sharmane Arcenia, Eliza Bautista, Allyzah Beatingo, Lylanie Blase, Kriztel Degracia, Anna Estrobo, Antheia Galicia, Mariella Garcia, Daneea Jardolin, Dannah Saloria, Jhorencie Siason, Zeth Templado, Joylyn Villaflor, and April Uyco.

Meanwhile, USLS’ men’s volleyball team settled for a silver medal finish after losing to the Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias squad in the championship round.

On the other hand, USLS’ men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams ended with runner-up finishes in their respective competitions./ASC, WDJ
