Kai Sotto displayed dominance for the Koshigaya Alphas anew in the 2024-2025 Season of the Japan B.League.

The 7-foot-3 star delivered for Koshigaya, this time against Matthew Wright and Kawasaki, as the Alphas dumped the Brave Thunders, 100-74, at the Koshigaya City Gymnasium on Sunday, December 8.

Sotto finished with a 25-point, 18-rebound double-double on top of two assists and two steals, and this helped the Alphas improve to 6-12, fifth in the Eastern Division.

On the other hand, Wright had a quiet outing of four markers and a steal for Kawasaki, and this defeat pushed them to No. 8 in the central division with a 4-14 record.

Meanwhile, also victorious on Sunday were Dwight Ramos and Ray Parks, Jr.

The 6-foot-4 Ramos only had six points and a rebound, but these were enough to help Levanga Hokkaido in their 69-61 win over the Akita Northern Happinets at the Hokkai Kita-yale.

Levanga is now at 6-12, sixth in the Eastern Division.

His former Gilas Pilipinas teammate Parks Jr., for his part, was at the forefront of Osaka Evessa’s 76-70 win over the Shibuya Sunrockers at the Ookini Arena Maishima.

Parks Jr. scattered 12 markers, five rebounds, five dimes, an assist, and a rejection in the victory that pushed them to No. 3 in the Western Division with a 10-8 record.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for AJ Edu, Roosevelt Adams and Geo Chiu.

Despite Edu collecting four points, eight rebounds, an assist, and a block, the Nagasaki Velca fell short against Alvark Tokyo, 83-81, at the Happiness Arena.

This was Nagasaki’s 11th loss in 18 games, and they are now sixth in the Western Division.

Adams, for his part, had eight markers, six boards and one assist, but the Yamagata Wyverns fell to the Rizing Zephyr Fukuoka, 89-78.

Yamagata is now at 8-13, sixth in the Eastern Division.

Lastly, Chiu only had five points and one assist in the Ehime Orange Vikings’ lopsided 108-68 loss to the Shinshu Brave Warriors at White Ring.

Chiu’s squad now sits at seventh in the Western Division with an abysmal 1-20 record. (ABS-CBN News)
